Terms & Conditions
Racha Syrian Kitchen’s decision is final in all matters relating to these terms. Please read and understand our agreement as all services are subject to the content of our Terms & Conditions as printed hereon. By securing your booking, intending to proceed or by making any confirmation or payments, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Your cooperation is appreciated.
CONFIRMATION AND CHANGES OF FINAL NUMBERS
Your booking is only secured after payment of the deposit has been made, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
After the original quote is accepted and deposit is paid, we can agree to a reduction in food spend of no more than 10%, or an unlimited increase depending on availability.
Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than 6 business days prior to the date of the event.
MENU SELECTION AND CHANGES:
Menu selection must be confirmed no later than 5 days prior to the booking date. Requests for changes to menu selection within 5 days prior to a function will be considered at the sole discretion of Racha Syrian Kitchen. We will do everything possible to facilitate your requests, but not all changes can be guaranteed, and substitutions may be suggested where items are not available. In the case of supply shortages outside of our control, menu and beverage items may be substituted by a similar product.
PAYMENTS:
Payment for our services must be made within the due dates indicated below for each type of event (corporate or private). Failure to provide payment by the due date may incur additional fees. These fees may include administrative charges for chasing balances of up to $100, and when the payment is outstanding for more than 10 Business days, we reserve the right to access a debt collection organisation and relay the incurred costs on to the Client.
SPECIFIC TO CORPORATE EVENTS
PAYMENT TERMS:
Upon acceptance of your quote, you agree:
- to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit, for which payment is due immediately;
- that the balance is due and payable in full at least 5 business days (in Sydney) before the date of the event;
- any additional services you request will be charged in a separate invoice and payable within 5 business days after the date of the event.
- Full payment is due and payable immediately upon acceptance of your quote where the date of the event is to occur within 10 business days or the amount is less than $1,000.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you must cancel your event for any reason, you agree that:
- there will be no refund where the date of the event is less than 5 business days away; or
- if the date of the event is more than 5 business days away, you will only forfeit your deposit.
SPECIFIC TO PRIVATE EVENTS
PAYMENT TERMS:
Upon acceptance of your quote, you agree:
- to pay a 25% non-refundable deposit, for which payment is due immediately;
- that the balance is due and payable in full at least 5 business days before the date of the event;
- any additional services you request will be charged in a separate invoice and payable within 5 business days (in Sydney) after the date of the event.
- Full payment is due and payable immediately upon acceptance of this quote where the Date of the event is to occur within 10 Business Days or the amount is less than $1,000.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you have to cancel your event for any reason, you agree that:
- there will be no refund of the full amount where the Date of the event is less than 5 business days away; or
- if the date of the event is more than 5 business days away, you will only forfeit the deposit.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
A surcharge of 20% on food & 75% surcharge on staff on public holidays.
BOOKINGS FOR EVENTS BEYOND THE CURRENT YEAR (JANUARY TO DECEMBER)
Our price tables are valid for the current year only, defined from January 1st to December 31st. The year’s prices are released every January.
If you are booking an event with a date beyond the current year, your quote or booking will be subject to the price changes relevant to the year of your booking. We commit to limit any price increases to a maximum of +5% on top of your total booking.
VENUE AND STAFF CHARGES
Prior to the event, the parties will both agree on the number of staff required for your event. Where hired staff are required, an estimate of costs will be included in the event quote. Please note all staff are booked for a minimum of 4 hours. Where the event requires less than 4 hours of service, the minimum fee will still be charged. Should an event extend beyond the agreed finish time, you will be responsible for any additional venue or staff charges.
DELIVERIES
Delivery fees will be added to orders that are dropped at the catering venue. This is to compensate for the time one of our team members are out of the kitchen transporting food to each destination.
MENUS, DISHES AND DIETARIES
We note that our menu is seasonal and certain items may not be available in the lead up to your event due to environmental conditions or other matters outside of our control. We aim to use the freshest and market best available produce, prepared under hygienic conditions, with due care and skill.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING ALLERGIES
We are dedicated to providing delicious and safe food for everyone and will do our best to accommodate all dietary requirements. We take food safety and allergies seriously. However, we cannot guarantee that our food will contain no traces of nuts, gluten, shellfish, lactose, soy, and other major allergens, as we do use these ingredients in our kitchen and often so do our suppliers. If you have a guest with a severe allergy, this may not be possible.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
While we take reasonable care in providing the services, you acknowledge and accept that we are not responsible for loss of, or damage to, any goods or property whether that be supplied by the venue, by you or brought by your guests during the event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release us from any liability in respect of such loss or damage.
Without limiting that statement, you are solely responsible for any loss or damage to the venue, furniture, fittings and equipment, whether the venue is a hired premises, private home or office premises.
We appreciate that your organisation may have its own standard terms and conditions however we note that our offer is made to you based on the risk profile set out in these Terms & Conditions. Accordingly, these Terms & Conditions shall prevail unless separate terms are agreed and signed by both parties.
FORCE MAJEURE:
Neither party will be liable for failing to perform its obligations under this agreement as long as the failure is triggered by something beyond its reasonable control. This clause does not excuse payment of monies due.
